Nigeria's Edo Queens and Ghana's Ampem Darkoa will resume their 2-2 deadlock from the start of extra time in Egypt on 28 or 29 October.
A West African showdown between Nigerian and Ghanaian champions is heading to Egypt. Edo Queens and Ampem Darkoa Ladies will finish the WAFU Zone B qualifying final on 28 or 29 October 2026, CAF has confirmed.
The game picks up exactly where it left off: level at 2-2, at the start of extra time. Two 15-minute periods will be played, and if nothing separates the sides, a penalty shoot-out will crown the winner.
This rematch exists because of a long chain of rulings. The final was first played on 5 September 2026, and Edo Queens won the shoot-out 4-1. Ampem Darkoa protested the outcome and won, and the result was annulled. CAF's Organising Committee for Women's Football made its decision on 26 September, and the CAF Appeal Board followed with a ruling on 16 October.
CAF will appoint match officials who had no part in the original game. The exact date, stadium and kick-off time have not been announced yet, and CAF says both clubs will be told shortly.
For Edo Queens, a shoot-out win has been wiped off the books. For Ampem Darkoa, a second chance has been secured off the pitch. Now it comes down to 30 minutes, and possibly penalties, in Egypt.
