Scuderia Ferrari have confirmed that Lewis Hamilton will work with a new race engineer for the 2026 Formula 1 season as Riccardo Adami has shifted to a new role within the team’s academy.
Adami worked with Hamilton when the seven-time World Champion joined Ferrari in 2025. He worked previously with Carlos Sainz whom Hamilton replaced as the second driver.
Things were however not always smooth between Hamilton and Adami, with British driver often having tense exchanges with his new engineer. A decision has now been made by Ferrari to the 40-year-old’s engineering setup.
