Ghana-eligible midfielder Samuel Wiafe, just 18, is reportedly on Juventus's radar after a fast start to life at Genoa in Serie A.
Another Ghana-eligible talent is making noise in Europe. Samuel Wiafe, the 18-year-old midfielder who can represent either Italy or Ghana, is reportedly being considered by Juventus after a bright start to his time at Genoa.
Wiafe arrived at Genoa from Modena in July for €3m and has wasted little time showing he belongs at the top level. The central midfielder has made three Serie A appearances and two in the Coppa Italia, where he has already chipped in with an assist.
His rise has been quick. After moving through the youth ranks at Modena, he was promoted to the senior squad in February 2026 and then secured his switch to Genoa in the summer. This season he has figured in roughly a quarter of Genoa's Serie A starting line-ups and has played around 28% of the club's available league minutes. In the cup, he has started half of Genoa's matches.
For now, this is only a rumour. Nothing suggests a deal has been agreed between Juventus and Genoa, and Wiafe's contract runs until 30 June 2030, which puts Genoa in a strong position. His market value currently sits at €2.5m.
Wiafe remains a Genoa player, but with Juve reportedly watching and Ghana as a possible international future, this is a young talent worth tracking closely.
