Accra-born Francis Amuzu is reportedly on Marseille's radar, with the Gremio winger's contract running down at the end of 2026.
Another Ghana-born talent is being linked with a big European stage. Francis Amuzu, the Accra-born, Belgium-raised winger, has reportedly caught the eye of Marseille, who are said to be considering a Ligue 1 move for the Gremio attacker.
The 27-year-old left winger came through the youth ranks at Anderlecht before heading to Brazil in February 2025 in a deal worth around €1.2m. He has since carved out a role in Gremio's attack, starting roughly two-thirds of the club's league games this season and helping the side lift the Gaucho state title in 2025-26.
In the 2026 Brazilian Serie A, Amuzu has made 25 appearances, scoring once and setting up three goals. He has also featured in the Copa do Brasil and Copa Sudamericana, adding experience across several competitions. His market value is listed at €8m.
Timing could work in Marseille's favour. Amuzu's contract in Porto Alegre expires on 31 December 2026, which may make him an appealing option as his deal enters its final months.
For now, this is strictly rumour territory. No agreement, no fee and no formal bid has been reported, and Amuzu remains a Gremio player until the end of 2026. If it does materialise, though, it would be another example of diaspora talent finding a route to one of Europe's top leagues.
