Morocco Crowned Africa’s Top Tennis Nation for Seventh Consecutive Year

Morocco has once again confirmed its status as the leading tennis nation in Africa, securing the African Tennis Confederation’s “Best Nation’s Trophy” for 2025. This latest distinction marks the seventh year in a row that Morocco has earned the title, underscoring the consistency and depth of its tennis program at the continental level.
The ranking is based on results recorded across African competitions, with a particular emphasis on junior categories. Moroccan players delivered strong performances in the Under-14, Under-16, and Under-18 age groups, collecting crucial points at various championships held in late 2024 and early 2025. These achievements allowed Morocco to finish ahead of other African countries in the Confederation’s points system and secure the annual honor once more.
This latest trophy adds to Morocco’s growing collection of continental titles. The North African country now counts a total of 13 “Best Nation” distinctions, placing it among the most decorated nations in African tennis history and consolidating its reputation as a key development hub for young talent on the continent. The national federation’s ongoing efforts to invest in training centers, coaching, and youth competitions have been widely credited for the sustained success of Moroccan players.
The official presentation of the 2025 “Best Nation’s Trophy” is scheduled to take place in Cairo, Egypt, on the sidelines of the African Under-14 Team Championships, set for early May 2025. The event will bring together rising stars from across the continent and offer another stage for Moroccan players to showcase their level. For Morocco, the ceremony will be both a celebration of past achievements and a motivation to maintain its momentum in the years ahead
