Ghana's Prince Appiah Amoah has hit 20 goals in his first European season, powering FK Metta's 4-0 romp and a top-of-the-table push in Latvia.
Another young Ghanaian is making noise in Europe. Prince Appiah Amoah has reached 20 goals across all competitions for FK Metta, a landmark that has turned heads well beyond Latvia's second tier.
The forward added to his tally at the weekend as Metta swept aside city rivals Riga Mariners 4-0 in the Latvian Future League. It was another sharp, influential attacking showing from the 20-year-old, who keeps stacking up end product in his debut season abroad.
His goals are a big reason Metta lead the Latvia 1. Liga table. The club has 57 points from 22 matches in the 2026-27 campaign, and Appiah Amoah's finishing has been central to that push.
A product of the MSK Zilina Africa setup, the young marksman is quickly becoming one of the more intriguing attacking prospects to emerge from Ghana. If he keeps scoring at this rate, he could soon land on the radar of Ghana's youth national team setups, and perhaps a bigger stage in European football.
