Ghana's Prince-Osei Owusu has retained CF Montreal's Player of the Year crown, backing up a standout MLS season with 15 goals and six assists.
Ghana's Prince-Osei Owusu has done it again. The Montreal captain has been named CF Montreal Player of the Year for the second straight season, a big win for the Ghanaian diaspora in North America and another sign of how far he has come.
The 29-year-old striker added this award to the one he won in 2025, and he earned it with a strong 2026 MLS campaign. In 26 league appearances he has scored 15 goals and set up six more, for 21 direct goal contributions. That makes him one of the most dangerous attackers Montreal have.
Owusu is more than a goalscorer, though. He wears the armband and leads from the front, and he has become the focal point of the club's attack. Winning the award in back-to-back years shows how consistently he has delivered since arriving in Canada.
The honour also lands at a notable moment for him on the international stage. He made his Ghana debut in November 2025 at the Kirin Cup in Asia, after his club form earned him a first Black Stars call-up. With goals and leadership like this, he stays firmly in the conversation about Ghana's attacking options.
