Italian-Ghanaian midfielder Joshua Tenkorang struck within three minutes of coming on to seal Ravenna's 3-1 Serie C win over Campobasso.
Italian-Ghanaian midfielder Joshua Tenkorang kept up his fine form in Serie C Group B, scoring off the bench as Ravenna beat Campobasso FC 3-1 and stayed second in the table.
Ravenna had already done the early damage. Daniele Casiraghi converted a penalty in the 41st minute after a VAR review, and Matteo Maggio doubled the lead just before the break, heading in from Vinicius' cross to send the hosts in 2-0 up.
Then came Tenkorang. He was introduced in the 66th minute and needed only three minutes to make his mark, finding the net to make it 3-0 and all but ending the contest. Campobasso did pull one back through Matteo Stoppa in the 88th minute, but it was too little, too late.
The goal is Tenkorang's third in nine league appearances this season, a return that shows his growing influence on Ravenna's attacking play. Fans noticed too, voting him player of the match with 43 per cent of the vote.
The result leaves Ravenna on 17 points from nine games. Next up is Spezia on October 18, and Tenkorang is expected to play a key role as the club look to hold their spot near the top.
