Italian-Ghanaian midfielder Joshua Tenkorang is making the most of his minutes in Italy. He came off the bench and scored within six minutes to help Ravenna beat Vis Pesaro 4-0 in Serie C Group B on Saturday.
Tenkorang entered in the 64th minute at the Stadio Tonino Benelli. By the 70th he had made his mark, finishing Ravenna's fourth goal and putting the result beyond doubt. It was a fine cameo from a player who keeps delivering when called upon.
Ravenna had the game under control long before that. Lorenzo Lonardi opened the scoring in the eighth minute, and Matteo Maggio struck in the 10th to double the lead. Maggio added his second in the 27th, and Vis Pesaro went into the break with a mountain to climb.
The hosts found no answer after half-time, and Tenkorang's arrival gave the visitors even more threat going forward. His goal capped a complete team display.
The win strengthens Ravenna's place near the top of Group B as they chase promotion. Tenkorang now has four goals in 11 league appearances this season, a growing contribution to the club's push.
