FC Barcelona will reportedly promote 13-year-old prodigy Mohamed Dabone, widely regarded as a mix of Victor Wembanyama and Giannis Antetokounmpo, to the first team.
The 13-year-old prospect who has already gained massive viral exposure, Mohamed Dabone, reportedly will be promoted to FC Barcelona‘s main team next season.
According to Ramon Palomar of Sport, Dabone, Barcelona’s 13-year-old, 2.10 m prodigy, will join Barca’s first team alongside 17-year-old, 2.12 m center Sayon Keita.
“Barcelona want to give Mohamed Dabone and Sayon Keita a prominent role next season, and they will start working with the rest of the squad,” Palomar reports.
Both youngsters took part in this year’s EuroLeague youth tournament in Abu Dhabi. Dabone, competing against much older opponents, averaged 12 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks.
Born in October 2011, Dabone has become a true sensation in Spain. In the ACB Youth Cup final against Real Madrid’s prospects, he recorded 22 points, 26 rebounds, and a performance index rating of 48.
In the international U16 Villa de La Orotava basketball tournament, the center once again faced Real’s youth team, posting 31 points, 19 rebounds, 4 blocks, and a PIR of 45.
