Leonard Ngenge has joined Leeds United FC from Remo Stars.

The English Premier League (EPL) club announced the signing in a statement on Tuesday.

Leeds said the 18-year-old defender penned a one-and-a-half-year deal that would see him at the club till the end of the 2026/27 season.

Ngege will be joining the club’s academy with the hope of making a good impression and earning promotion to the first team.

“Everyone at Leeds United would like to welcome Leonard to the club, where he will link up with the Academy setup,” the statement reads.

The defender played seven games for Remo Stars in the first half of the ongoing season. He joined the club in August 2025 and scored on his debut in a 4–0 CAF Champions League win over US Zilimadjou of Niger. He was formerly with Ikorodu City, where he starred in the club’s debut NPFL campaign in the 2024/25 season.

Ngege also featured for home-based Eagles at the 2025 African Nations Championships (CHAN). He made two appearances in the competition.

In his second game, he scored an own goal and conceded a penalty in a 4–0 defeat to Sudan.
