The Wizards have kicked off the season with a 5-1 record. Rui Hachimura has not been with the squad though. He has been away from the team for personal reasons.
However, reporter Quinton Mayo recently provided an update on his status.
Said this on Twitch the past week or so:
Rui Hachimura isn’t currently in game shape — he’s also lost a little bit of weight. Wouldn’t surprise me if he isn’t fully integrated until late November/early December.
He’s doing individual workouts not with team. https://t.co/w64Vz4z3UE

Speculations are rising in the locker room. It also has been reported hat he may be training when nobody is in the training facilities. However, chatter has been running in the Wizards locker room.
There has been chatter among the team that maybe Rui’s absence has something to do with the Olympics and the lack of success achieved in his home country, but still, no one is quite sure.
“What’s weird is Rui’s name is sort of taboo around here – nobody mentions him or anything,” another source added. “You probably know more than we do at this point when it comes to what’s going on with Ru.”
Rui Hachimura, who is of Beninese descent, has played the two past seasons and averaged 13.7 points and 5.8 rebounds on 47.3% shooting. The Wizards seem to be doing well without Rui, they may look invincible when he joins them.
