Super Eagles forward Moses Simon has been nominated for Ligue 1 Goal of the Month for December/January.

Simon makes the shortlist thanks to his superb strike for Nantes in their 1-0 victory over Rennes at Stade de la Beaujoire on 8 December.

The 29-year-old dribbled past three defenders before hitting a right-footed curler into the top corner.

Simon will face competition from Georges Mikautadze (Lyon), Maghnes Akliouche (Monaco), and Lucas Stassin and Augustine Boakye (Saint Etienne) for the award.

The Nigeria international has scored five goals and provided six assists in 19 appearances in all competitions for Nantes this season.
