Manchester City have confirmed that summer signing Rayan Cherki will wear the iconic number 10 shirt for the 2025-26 season.
The 21-year-old joined City from Lyon in June and inherits the number following Jack Grealish’s loan move to Everton.

Cherki wore the No. 29 shirt during the Club World Cup, featuring four times for Pep Guardiola’s side in the United States, where he scored once and registered an assist before their exit in the round of 16.
The France international, who has Algerian heritage, joins an illustrious list of City greats to have donned the No. 10 shirt, including Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko, Brian Kidd, and Colin Bell.
“I’m very happy to play with the number 10,” he said. “I can’t wait to play at the Etihad. Come on City!”
Cherki is in line to make his Premier League debut for the club when City travel to Molineux to face Wolverhampton Wanderers in their season opener on Saturday.
