The English Premier League has released a statement allowing players to resume training as the league is under review on ways of resumption after the long break caused by the COVID-19 Pandemic.
The decision to resume training came after Premier league clubs voted for their players to return to training in small groups next week. Last week, the government said it had “opened the door” for the return of elite sport, but several hurdles remain before the Premier League can resume behind closed doors.
A group of five players will take part in each phase of trainings amidst possible resumption of the league next month.
