UFC Welterweight champion Kamaru Usman will be looking for his second title defense when he takes on Gilbert Burns in the main event of UFC 251 at Abu Dhabi on July 11
The ‘Nigerian Nightmare’ successfully defended his title for the first time after his fifth-round TKO win over Colby Covington last December at UFC 245.
UFC Chairman Dana White announced the fight on ESPN’s “First Take” on Tuesday.
Usman (16-1 MMA, 11-0 UFC) remains undefeated in the UFC since winning The Ultimate Fighter 21 in 2015.
Meanwhile, Gilbert Burns (19-3 MMA, 12-3 UFC) is a perfect 4-0 since moving up to welterweight last year, his most recently dominating former champ Tyron Woodley at UFC on ESPN 9 on May 30.
With the addition, the current lineup includes:
