Clippers sign Joakim Noah for rest of this season and next season

Joakim Noah is set to join the Clippers for the rest of this season and next season, according to ESPN.

The deal, though, for 2020-21 isn’t guaranteed. Noah had signed a 10-day contract with the Clippers just before the NBA season shut down because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 35-year-old has averaged 8.8 points, 9.1 rebounds and 2.8 assists over 12 seasons.

He will provide depth behind Croatian center, Ivica Zubac for the Clippers upon their return to action July 30 in Orlando, Fla.

Noah hopes to share his experiences mentoring all the younger teammates including the 23-year-old Zubac.

During the 2018-19 season, Noah played in 42 games for the Memphis Grizzlies, averaging 7.1 points and 5.7 rebounds.
