Chelsea’s £37million signing Hakim Ziyech trained with his new team-mates for the first time on Thursday.
The former Ajax star, who agreed a move back in February, was able to showcase his talents to Frank Lampard and Co at the club’s base in Cobham.
Kitted out in a club tracksuit top and bottoms, he set to work on a number of drills and Chelsea tweeted the images, writing: ‘Hakim Ziyech got his first taste of training with the squad today!’
The technically gifted Moroccan international featured in smal-sided games against the likes of Reece James, Ross Barkley and Callum Hudson-Odoi.
Ziyech officially joined Chelsea on July 1 and the season in Holland was curtailed by coronavirus, meaning he has had an extended break.
The 27-year-old was in the stands for Chelsea’s 1-0 win over Norwich on Tuesday and will now be looking to build up fitness as quickly as possible.
Last season for Ajax, Ziyech scored eight goals and racked up 21 assists in all competitions.
