Aubameyang, Lacazette model in Arsenal new 2020/21 home jersey

Arsenal on Thursday launched their new adidas kit design of the 2020-21 season.

The Gunners’ kit provider Adidas shared the new design on Twitter on Thursday, showing off the famous red and white colours.

Keeping the white sleeves and collars, chevrons have been added going horizontally across the chest and torso.

The home kit, the second with Adidas, is a homage to the club’s geometric crest used from 1936 to 1949 and has a call back to Highbury.

Mikel Arteta’s side will wear the new jersey for the first time when they play host to Watford at the Emirates on July 26 and then roll it out again when they face Chelsea in the FA Cup final at Wembley on Aug. 1

A host of players were on show, including Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Mesut Ozil, David Luiz, Alexandre Lacazette and Matteo Gunedouzi.

While fans were delighted to finally see the 2020/21 kit emerge after speculation, they were even happier to see top-scorer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang modelling it.

The forward has been linked with a move away from north London amid rumours of interest from Real Madrid – but fans think this will come to an end.

“So they introduced the new seasons kit with Laca and Auba. Which means they are staying,” one supporter said.

Another commented: “Auba advertising the new kit – my man is really signing.”
