Oklahoma City Thunder rookie Darius Bazley has entered into the team’s folklore with his recent scoring feat.
The 20-year-old has now joined Russell Westbrook and James Harden as the only Thunder rookies to score 20 or more points in back-to-back games.
The 6-foot-8 power forward once again had an impressive outing against Phoenix Suns on Monday.
Despite a 128-101 loss to the Thunders, he recorded a team-high 22 points on 8-of-16 shooting.
He also ended the game with 10 rebounds, three assists, a steal, a block, and just one turnover in 35 minutes of play.
This came after his 23-point, seven-rebound performance in the win against the Washington Wizards last Sunday.
Bazley’s rise has been meteoric, having broken in to the OKC team not long ago, but he now joins an exclusive list of record holders.
Meanwhile, OKC are now a game and a half behind the fourth-seeded Houston Rockets, with Utah Jazz also on their tails.
