Former LA Clippers coach, Doc Rivers has landed himself a job with the Philadelphia 76ers.
Rivers’ appointment came as a shock since many expected him to take a long sabbatical from NBA coaching.
But he is back on an NBA bench.
Following an extremely terrible performance and 2019/20 season, the Sixers are hoping to get back into the finals now that they got Rivers on their side as a coach.

Rivers addressed his Clippers exit in a statement, saying, “While I was able to accomplish most of my goals, I won’t be able to see them all through. Though it was a disappointing ending to our season, you are right there and I know what this team is capable of accomplishing with your support.“
Rivers made it clear he wasn’t ready to hang up his tie just yet in that statement.
Rivers has posted a 943-681 record as a head coach — beat out huge names like Mike D’Antoni and Ty Lue for the gig.
He is now taking on a team with a ton of talent.
Doc believes he has a great project on his hands and is itching to get started with the Sixers.
