Cristiano Ronaldo tests positive for Coronavirus again; will miss Barca clash vs Messi

CR7 tests positive for COVID-19 the second time.

Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly tested positive for Coronavirus for the second time, and will now miss Juventus’ UEFA Champions League clash against FC Barcelona and Lionel Messi next week.

Ronaldo will miss the Bianconeri’s Champions League clash against Barca next Wednesday, October 28, after testing positive for COVID-19 for a second time, according to  Marca.

UEFA’s protocol dictates that a player must return a negative result one week before any European competition fixtures, which means Ronaldo will not be allowed to take part in the fixture against arch-rival Messi.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner previously tested positive for the first time on October 13, while on international duty with Portugal, and has been in quarantine ever since.

He will also miss Juventus’ Serie A clash against Hellas Verona this weekend.
