Gordon was suspended indefinitely last December for violations of the league’s policies on performance-enhancing substances and substances of abuse.
It was Gordon’s sixth suspension since the 2013 season and his fifth for some form of substance abuse.
Asked about Gordon on multiple occasions after that, Seattle head coach Pete Carroll was only ever able to offer non-updates. Unfortunately, the update we finally received is not one anyone was hoping for.
Gordon will be an unrestricted free agent when the new league year begins.
