Alphonso Davies Opens up on his nickname and current form

It is becoming clear that the new young left-back in the world football now is no other but the 19-year-old Canadian national, Alphons Davies.

The Bayern Munich’s left-back has left many football fans talking about his recent form after his team played their ravel, Bourassa Dortmund which he runs for a ball from Dortmund striker.

Alphonso’s became the hero of the week when Bayern beat Dortmund on Tuesday, to stretched their lead at the top of the table. He went viral for reaching 35.3km/h in a sprint to dispossess Erling Haaland off the ball. Haaland who had a ball from the Bayern goal area was about to score when Alphonso run to take the ball from him.

The pace, skills, and goals of the Ghanaian born Canadian international this season was something delightful to watch and his ability to cross the ball to the Bayern strikers to score a goal. Alphonso Davis’ defensive recovery is also the best u can get from him.

The 19-year opens up on his nickname road Runner said,” I know the cartoon I watched it as a kid. I like the comparison with Road Runner because he’s so it’s a good fit.”

The player also talked about his current performances which he reveals that.

“I am enjoying it right now, but I’m staying focused and want to do my best on the pitch. I did my job as a defender, but of course, it’s something special to also be able to score while playing as a defender. “

Davies was signed from MLS side Vancouver Whitecaps in 2018 summer after Barcelona scouted him but failed to get his signature. He scored in weekend’s game against Dusseldorf when they were beaten by five goals to nil.
