Giannis Antetokounmpo, who won the 2019 National Basketball Association (NBA) Most Valuable Player (MVP) award, was the toast of the team he captained during the 2020 All-Star Weekend games at Chicago.
The 25 year old Greek-Nigerian and Milwaukee Bucks star was the leading scorer for team Giannis, as he produced 25 points and 11 rebounds and four assists, in a game they lost to team LeBron.
Antetokounmpo’s playmate and colleague from Cameroon, Joel Embiid also had a good game with 22 points and 10 rebounds at the 69th version of the NBA All-Star Game.
Team Giannis lost narrowly to Team LeBron by 155-157 at the United Center, despite team Giannis being in the driver’s seat heading into the fourth quarter, leading 133-124.

Giannis got in on the action, coming up with a huge block on LeBron at 154-153. It was initially ruled a goaltend and would have put Team LeBron one point away from the win.

The arena held their breath when Davis missed the first throw, but he made no mistake on the second at the free-throw line after he was fouled by Kyle Lowry in the paint, sealing the win for Team LeBron.
Los Angeles Clippers’ shooting guard, Kawhi Leonard was named “Kobe Bryant All-Star MV”, leading Team LeBron with 30 points and seven rebounds.
