Ghana's Frank Acheampong followed his four-goal blitz with another strike as Dalian Yingbo cruised past Shenzhen Peng City in the Chinese top flight.
Frank Acheampong is not slowing down. The former Black Stars winger found the net again on Saturday as Dalian Yingbo beat Shenzhen Peng City 3-1 in round 28 of the Chinese top flight, playing all 90 minutes at the Dalian Suoyuwan Football Stadium.
The hosts started fast. Romanian attacker Nicolae Stanciu broke the deadlock in the eighth minute, and Jing Luo doubled the lead just before the break in the 42nd. Dalian had control and kept pushing after the restart.
Acheampong then got his name on the scoresheet after halftime to seal the result. It came right after his huge performance in the previous match, when he scored all four goals in a 4-0 rout of Qingdao West Coast. Shenzhen Peng City did get a consolation in stoppage time through winger Wai-Tsun Dai, but it changed nothing.
The Ghanaian now has 12 goals and four assists this season, a strong return that confirms him as a key figure for Dalian Yingbo. For African football fans watching from afar, he is proving that Ghanaian talent can still make a big impact in China.
