Ghana's Central Region football family met at Siwdu Stadium to review the season and set priorities as the 2026/27 campaign kicks off.
Ghana's Central Region has put its football house under the microscope. The Central Regional Football Association (RFA) staged its congress at Siwdu Stadium in Cape Coast, pulling stakeholders together to judge how the game is run locally and to map out where it goes next.
The agenda centred on the nuts and bolts of football administration in the region. Delegates used the gathering to take stock of progress made across the regional football fraternity, weigh the pressing issues facing the game, and renew their pledge to back development at every level.
The congress fits into a broader push by the Association to sharpen administration, strengthen grassroots development and open up fresh opportunities for the sport to grow across the region. In a part of Ghana with deep football roots, the emphasis on building from the bottom up signals where the RFA wants its energy to go.
Timing matters too. The meeting came as the Central RFA closed the book on the 2025/26 season and moved into 2026/27, giving stakeholders a natural checkpoint to reflect, regroup and align before the new campaign gathers pace. Another step in the RFA's engagement with its football community, and a marker for its plans to advance the game in the Central Region.
