Ghana's young Black Starlets made it three wins from three in Azerbaijan, hammering Guam 7-0 to sit top of Group W with 18 goals scored.
Africa's next generation is announcing itself in Azerbaijan. Ghana's U-15 boys swept aside Guam 7-0 in their third Group W match at the FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival, keeping their record perfect and their place at the top of the table.
Abdul Latif Sa-ad broke the deadlock with a composed finish, and Emmanuel Afful quickly doubled the lead. Raymond Agyapong made it three with a sharp strike, and Nathaniel Owusu added a clinical finish to put Ghana firmly in control before the break.
Afful completed his brace after the interval, and Abdul Aziz Issah kept his scoring run going as Ghana piled on the pressure. The young Ghanaians also kept a clean sheet, a sign of control at both ends of the pitch.
The win follows a 4-1 victory over Uzbekistan and a 7-1 win over Myanmar, which puts Ghana's tally at 18 goals in three games. Next up are Bahamas and Kazakhstan in their remaining Group W fixtures, with action continuing on Monday, October 26. On this evidence, the rest of the field has plenty to worry about.
