Shamsudeen Sulemana bagged four as Ghana's U-15 boys beat Mexico 5-2 in Azerbaijan on the same day they knocked out Korea Republic.
Ghana's young Black Stars are flying the African flag high in Azerbaijan. The National U-15 Boys team beat Mexico 5-2 on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, to book a place in the quarter-finals of the FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival.
Shamsudeen Sulemana was the star of the show with four goals. Abdul Aziz Issah added the other, keeping up his scoring run at the tournament and giving Ghana a second dangerous threat in attack.
The result is even more impressive given the schedule. Earlier the same day, Ghana had edged Korea Republic 2-1 in the Round of 32. Playing twice in one day did not seem to bother the youngsters, who came out again with real attacking intent and sharp finishing.
The win stretches Ghana's unbeaten run in the FIFA Talent Development Scheme tournament to seven straight victories. The team now waits to learn its quarter-final opponent as the push for the title continues.
