Abdul Aziz Issah struck again as Ghana's young Black Starlets beat Korea Republic 2-1 to reach the FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival Round of 16.
Ghana's next generation just keeps winning. The National U-15 Boys booked their place in the Round of 16 of the FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival in Azerbaijan, edging Korea Republic 2-1 in the Round of 32 on Wednesday, October 28, 2026.
Abdul Aziz Issah was again at the heart of it, adding to his impressive scoring run at the tournament by finding the net once more. An own goal from the Korea Republic defence then proved to be the other decisive moment, as Ghana held firm against a disciplined and stubborn opponent.
The knockout victory keeps the momentum rolling for a side that topped Group W with five wins from five. Ghana are now unbeaten in six matches at the FIFA Talent Development Scheme tournament and have racked up 29 goals along the way, a serious statement of attacking intent on the global youth stage.
Next up is the Round of 16, with Ghana's opponents still to be confirmed. With form, firepower and belief all on their side, the young Ghanaians will fancy their chances of going even deeper in Azerbaijan.
