Kapor Tells Hearts of Oak: Forget Tema, Vision FC Will Be Different

Hearts of Oak boss Nebojša Kapor says the 1-0 loss to Vision FC means little as the Phobians prepare for a fresh Ghana Premier League test on Saturday.

Ghana Premier League football is back with a statement-sized fixture, and Hearts of Oak coach Nebojša Kapor is urging his players to leave the past where it belongs. The Phobians face Vision FC on Saturday, and the Serbian tactician insists their earlier 1-0 loss to the Tema side is a poor guide for what lies ahead.

Vision FC edged Hearts in the last meeting in Tema, but Kapor was not in charge of the Accra giants then. In his view, too much has changed for that result to carry real weight. Both squads have been reshaped, Vision now have a new man in the dugout, and the artificial turf adds another layer of difficulty that Hearts must respect.

"Last season is last season, and the last day is the last day. Action is the most important thing," Kapor said. He explained that his staff are working to gather more information, sharpen readiness and build the confidence the team needs for every phase of play they expect on Saturday.

Kapor also made clear he is not underestimating the opposition. He described Vision as a good, young squad and said Hearts will need far better preparation and a smarter approach than before. With the season still in its early stages, he argued, direct comparisons with old results are difficult and can even be misleading.

For a club with title ambitions and a demanding fan base, the message is simple: the Tema defeat is history, and Saturday is a new test. Hearts of Oak must show they can adapt quickly to the pitch, the opponent and the pressure.
