Ghana's Joseph Paintsil struck twice in the LA derby while Ronald Donkor set up a late Red Bulls goal against Inter Miami.
Ghana's stars made themselves heard across Major League Soccer this weekend, with Joseph Paintsil and Ronald Donkor leading a strong Black Stars contingent.
Paintsil was the headline act in El Tráfico on Sunday. The LA Galaxy winger netted in the 34th and 51st minutes to drag his side to a 2-2 draw with Los Angeles FC, then left the pitch in the 73rd minute after a dominant shift.
Donkor made his mark in New York, where the Red Bulls beat Inter Miami 2-0. The midfielder supplied the assist for Emil Forsberg's stoppage-time goal to seal the win. Mohammed Sofo started alongside him and was involved in the build-up to the opener, which came from an Inter Miami own goal.
Elsewhere, Maxwell Woledzi featured for Nashville SC as they beat CF Montréal 2-0 to lock down the Supporters' Shield. Shak Mohammed was an unused substitute. Ghanaian-born striker Kelvin Yeboah and Minnesota United were held to a goalless draw by Houston Dynamo, so he stayed on 17 goals and three assists for the season.
