Ghana winger Bernard Tekpetey struck twice before the break as Ludogorets swept aside ten-man Arda Kardzhali in Razgrad.
Bernard Tekpetey was the star of the show on Monday. The Ghanaian winger scored twice as Ludogorets Razgrad demolished Arda Kardzhali 5-0 in the Bulgarian First League at Huvepharma Arena.
Caio Vidal got the hosts going in the 18th minute. Arda's night then went from bad to worse when Georgi Nikolov was sent off in the 30th minute, leaving them with ten men for most of the contest.
Tekpetey punished the visitors before the interval. He found the net in the 44th minute, then struck again in first-half stoppage time to make it 3-0. After the restart, Rwan Cruz made it four in the 55th minute, and Ivan Zhelyzko completed the rout four minutes from time.
Fans picked Tekpetey as player of the match, with 59 per cent of the vote. The Black Stars winger now has four goals and three assists in eight league appearances this season, a strong return for Ludogorets.
Next up is a Bulgarian Cup tie against Beroe on October 17, and Tekpetey will be looking to carry this form into that game.
