Volta's football family has drawn the curtain on 2025/26 at its 24th Ordinary Congress and a call for unity ahead of the new season.
Ghana's grassroots football machine is already shifting gears. The Volta Regional Football Association has wrapped up its 24th Ordinary Congress, officially closing the 2025/26 season and kicking off preparations for the 2026/27 campaign.
The annual gathering is the Association's highest decision-making body. It was chaired by Volta RFA Chairman Daniel Agbogah and drew football stakeholders from across the region to tackle the issues shaping how the game is run and developed locally.
Agbogah used his address to push for unity. A collective approach, he argued, is essential to keeping the game running smoothly while driving its long-term growth. He also paid tribute to former chairman Francis Dogbatse, thanking him for the support he has continued to offer since leaving office, and stressed that ongoing cooperation among stakeholders is key to moving football forward in the region.
The Ghana Football Association was also represented. Daasebre Adu-Asare, Coordinator of the Regional Football Associations, stood in for GFA President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku. He reaffirmed the President's commitment to grassroots development and assured delegates that the GFA will keep backing initiatives that strengthen the game in every region of Ghana.
With the season now officially closed, attention turns to the next one. For Volta's clubs, officials and supporters, the message from Congress is clear: pull together, build from the base, and get ready for 2026/27.
