Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has given the thumbs up to Arsenal signing Thomas Partey

Arsenal’s captain and star man, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has given thumbs up to the English Premier League side for signing Ghanaian midfielder, Thomas Partey.

Aubameyang, who was supporting the signing of Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar earlier has okayed and endorsed Arsenal’s signing of Partey after the Frenchman decided to stay in the Ligue 1.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang took to Instagram to like the £110million deal for the Ghanaian.

Arsenal triggered Thomas Partey’s release clause from Atletico Madrid on Monday, October 5, on the transfer deadline.

Arsenal agreed to pay Partey £2.5m upfront as a signing-on fee as well as £260,000-a-week for four years. His agent also received 10 percent commission on the deal.

Arsenal coach, Mikel Arteta described Partey as an experienced player who will is very intelligent.

“…we’re looking forward to him integrating into our system and contributing to the progress we’re building at the moment at the club,” he said.

The 27-year-old midfielder came to the Atlética Youth Academy eight years ago and, after guest appearances in Mallorca and Almería, has been the main team since 2015.

Under coach Diego Simeon, he played the 2016 Champions League final and triumphed in 2018 in the European League. He has started 27 matches for the Ghana national team and scored 10 goals.
