On this day last year (Jan 26), basketball’s bigger than life personality Kobe Bryant and daughter Gianna “Gigi” passed away.
In honor of their legacy, artist Dan Medina created a 160-pound statue made of bronze.

The statue depicts the father and daughter wearing their jerseys and facing each other while holding their basketballs. The late basketball player and his daughter are a mirror image displaying their wholesome features and smile.
The artist remembered to honor and include all the nine names of the victims who died in the crash site, along with the words…
“ Heroes come and go but legends last forever”
