Cristiano Ronaldo uncertain for Ralf Rangnick’s debut in charge of Manchester United

Although being 36-year-old, Cristiano Ronaldo’s impact can still be seen and felt wherever he goes. After making a miraculous return to Manchester United this summer, he has been all over the headlines in the newspapers on the island. The Portuguese legend has managed to get his team out of trouble in many occasions throughout the first couple of months. His greatest contribution comes from the UCL games as he scored in each single match from the Group Stage. His goals against Atalanta and Villareal were of vital importance for Manchester United’s progress to the Knockout Stage.

The Portuguese striker, however, is uncertain for tomorrow’s game at Old Trafford. Cristiano Ronaldo has injured his suffered an injury to his knee when celebrating his goal against Arsenal on Thursday. His two goals were crucial for his team’s comeback. However, his celebration after scoring the winning penalty kick in the 70th minute might cost him the next couple of games. Some sources mention that he has injured his knee while doing his trademark celebration in front of the corner flag.

Manchester United will face off Crystal Palace in an attempt to get yet another 3 points in the battle for top 4 in the Premier League. The team is currently 7th in the standings with 21 points from 14 games. Most recently, the “Red Devils” fought well against Chelsea and Arsenal and got away with 4 points. They drew their game with Chelsea, 1:1, while Ronaldo, himself, was the main reason for their victory over Arsenal, scoring two goals for the final victory 3:2. Even without him, the newly-appointed coach have plenty of options in attacking positions in the face of Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford, and Jadon Sancho.
