Daniel Oturu’s NBA draft stock is rising.

Brilliant since the start of the season, Nigerian sophomore pivot Daniel Oturu struck again on Wednesday evening, guiding the Minnesota Golden Gophers (12-10) to a 12th win over Winsconsin (13-10) with a score of 70 to 52.

Excellent on both ends of the court, Daniel Oturu, whose name has come up regularly in recent weeks in the predictions of the 2020 NBA Draft (he should be  in the first round), scored a double-double with 17 points to 6/10 in shooting, 14 rebounds , 2 assists and 4 blocks in 29 minutes.

Appointed to the Big Ten Conference freshman team for his first university season, the Nigerian sophomore is currently averaging a double-double: 19.6 points to 58.6% shooting success, 11.3 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 2.6 blocks in 34 minutes.

Despite Minnesota’s record (12-10), Oturu is a credible candidate for the title of best player of the Big Ten Conference and should not be surprisingly named in the first Big Ten team of the season.
