Injury update: Ja Morant suffered a left knee sprain, uncertain status

On Friday night, the Memphis Grizzlies not only lost the game against the Hawks but their lone dynamic-high flying star was seen hurt on the floor right after dribbling the ball.

Scary sight to see as young & upcoming star suffers knee injury.

What scared Grizzlies fans were the apparent non-contact injury, which puzzled many people and left them to speculate. Shortly, Morant was seen limping and was attended to by his teammates and the team’s medical staff as he was escorted to the locker room.

The announcer quickly ruled out that Morant would no longer suit up and play for the remainder of the game.

According to a medical check-up, a preliminary image concluded that Morant suffered a left knee sprain. Further updates will be provided after more testing is done. As of now, his status to return remains uncertain.

Optimism and concern filled the FedExForum stadium as he was seen to have returned to the bench in the 3rd quarter in casual clothes limping but made his way without any crutches.
