Borussia Dortmund defender Achraf Hakimi has been shortlisted for the Bundesliga Player of the Month award for May.
The Moroccan full back was instrumental as Dortmund secured three wins out of four leagues matches played last month, with their only defeat coming against Bayern Munich.
He faces competition from Bayer Leverkusen star Kai HavertzHoffenheim’s Christoph Baumgartner, RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner as well as Joshua Kimmich and Benjamin Pavard from Bayern München.
This season, Hakimi has contributed nine goals, including five in the Bundesliga and 10 assists this season.
During the month under review, Hakimi was officially named the fastest player in the Bundesliga after running at 36.49 km/h earlier this season and he managed to cover 35 kilometres per hour in May.
