American rapper Dr. Dre has shared a photo of himself joining Colin Kaepernick in taking the knee.
Kaepernick has been one of the most vocal personalities against racial injustice and discrimination.
He was exiled from the NFL since 2016, after deciding to take a knee during the national anthem.
His action was a big statement as he sought to protest police brutality and injustice against persons of colour in the US.
In an Instagram post, Dr. Dre pledged his support to the 32-year-old by kneeling together with him.
The Hip-hop star captioned the photo “Defiant,” probably in reference to his four-part HBO documentary series entitled “The Defiant Ones.”
The documentary series focuses on the career of Dr. Dre and his partnership with top music executive Jimmy Iovine.
Meanwhile, Kaepernick also has exciting partnership deal with The Walt Disney Co. which will see the 32-year-old feature in an exclusive docuseries produced by ESPN Films.
The free agent’s production arm, Ra Vision Media, and Disney will focus on shining lights on scripted and unscripted stories that explore race and social injustice.
