Napoli and Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen has said he wants to repay the confidence coach Gennaro Gattuso has in him.
Gattuso pushed for Napoli to break their transfer record to buy Osimhen from Lille for a sum that will rise to more than 80 million Euros.
“He supports me and pushes me, tries to get the best out of me, I want to repay him for the faith he has had in me, which is the most important thing,” Osimhen told BrilaFM.
He added: “Sometimes we watch people on TV and judge them quickly, I think he is a great man and he is about to become a fantastic coach as well.

“When I first came to Naples I went to his house and I know how he talked to me and how he really wanted me and that is the most important thing, a man I saw on TV and really admire.”
Osimhen has so far scored twice in Serie A, but he is currently nursing a shoulder injury, which is expected to sideline him for a couple of matches.
