Jalen Ramsey donates $1 million to Purpose Preparatory Academy in Nashville

Los Angeles Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey has pledged $1 million to Nashville Preparatory Academy, according to Athletes First.

The three-time Pro Bowler released a statement detailing his excitement to give back to his hometown.

“I chose to support Purpose Prep because it is important for every child to have the opportunity to receive a great education, and the Purpose Prep programs are designed for underprivileged children in my hometown to have access to those services,” Ramsey said in a statement.

“I believe in its mission and want to help level the playing field since a solid elementary education is the foundation to a successful future.”

Purpose Preparatory School is “recognized as one of the top academic performing schools that accelerates the achievement of economically disadvantaged students.”

Ramsey has long established himself as a hometown hero during his rise to stardom at Florida State and in the NFL as one of the league’s premier cornerbacks. He is now doing what he can to make his presence felt off the field and what better place to start than his native Tennessee.
