Argentine legend Lionel Messi will take home of £1 million every week at Paris St-Germain, Super Eagles legend Jay Jay Okocha reacted by joking :
“I came too early and Messi came at the right time. If I was paid such amount of money in my playing days, maybe I would have stayed back in France forever. I wouldn’t have thought of coming to Nigeria,”
Okocha scored 12 Ligue 1 goals for PSG where he was a midfielder between 1998 and 2002 when he was in the peak of his career.
The abilities of the Super Eagle were hardly matched by any, he surely would have been able to secure a lucrative deal if he had to play in today’s era.
