After missing on two straight years in the NBA due to torn Achilles, Klay Thompson is officially back for the Golden State Warriors! The 31-year-old will most likely make his on-court return against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday night.
He has been part of the Warriors ever since NBA debut in 2011. In 2014, Thompson and Curry got their nickname “The Splash Brothers” following their magnificent performance from beyond the arc. Klay was one of the main reasons for the Warriors’ incredible NBA performance between 2015 and 2019.

The 3-time NBA Champion has spent quite a long time off the court training for this moment. He wanted to make sure that he is ready at 100% so that he can make his return. Being named 5 times in the NBA All-Star list, Klay is surely one of the greatest players for the last decade.
The Warriors’ shooting guard has signed a 5-year contract with the team in 2019. He is best known for his marvelous shooting technique. His quick-release shots are something extraordinary as he is probably the best catch-and-shoot player in the history of the NBA.
He last played for the Warriors in Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors. Klay was off to a fantastic start of the match, scoring 30 points for less than three quarters. Unfortunately, he suffered a torn ACL in his left knee, forcing him to abandon the game.

With him back on the court, the Golden State Warriors will be even deadlier in offense. This will surely get some pressure off Steph Curry who struggles to make his tough shots. With a potential win over the Cavaliers, the Warriors will once again take the top spot in the West. They are now 2nd with 29 wins and 9 losses as they are coming into this fixture on a 2-game losing streak.
