The Brooklyn Nets further cemented their move to the top of the Eastern Conference with a 111-89 win over the Charlotte Hornets.

LaMarcus Aldridge impressed on his debut following his recent switch from the San Antonio Spurs, adding 11 points, nine rebounds and six assists.

Elsewhere, Stephen Curry made 36 points and 11 rebounds in the Golden State Warriors’Ā defeat by theĀ Miami Heat.

TheĀ Philadelphia 76ersĀ – now second in the Eastern Conference behind the Nets – beat theĀ Cleveland CavaliersĀ 114-94, while Jamal Murray’s 23 points helped theĀ Denver NuggetsĀ go four games unbeaten with a 101-94 win over theĀ Los Angeles Clippers.

Josh Jackson scored a season-high 31 points in theĀ Detroit Pistons’Ā 120-91 victory over theĀ Washington Wizards, as theĀ Orlando MagicĀ edged a narrow 115-110 win over the injury-hitĀ New Orleans PelicansĀ in overtime.

Two overtimes were needed to separate theĀ San Antonio SpursĀ and theĀ Atlanta Hawks, with the Hawks eventually winning 134-129 with Trae Young scoring 15 points after the end of normal time.
