Reports in Spain suggest the Barcelona star’s mattress can remove traces of COVID-19 within four hours.
This extra measure is in a bid to protect himself, his wife wife Antonella and sons Thiago, Ciro and Mateo.
SportBible reports that Messi uses a Tech Moon mattress which completely erases traces of COVID-19 from the bed an infected person sleeps on top of it.
The special mattress is said to have to a system called ‘Viruclean” which ensures that all traces of the Coronavirus are removed.
Other footballers are also using the same mattress, including Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero.
Meanwhile Atletico Madrid’s Saul Niguez also uses it and doubles as an ambassador for the product.
For players who earn several millions in a year, spending £900 on a mattress to protect himself and his family from COVID-19 is definitely worth it.
