Rio Ngumoha has signed his first professional contract with reigning Premier League champions Liverpool.
The 16-year-old England youth international of Nigerian heritage joined the Reds’ academy from Chelsea last year and made his senior debut in a 4-0 FA Cup third round win over Accrington Stanley back in January
Ngumoha made headlines last month when he became the club’s youngest goalscorer after he came off the bench and scored a 100th-minute winner on his Premier League debut in a 3-2 win over Newcastle United at St. James’ Park.
He also featured in the epic 3-2 win over Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League last week and played 75 minutes in Tuesday’s 2-1 win over Southampton in the EFL Cup third round.
