Paris Saint-Germain defender, Achraf Hakimi, has issued a light warning to Lionel Messi ahead of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup Round of 16 tie on Sunday.
Hakimi and Messi were teammates during the Argentine’s time at PSG before he left to join Inter Miami.
PSG and Inter Miami will clash in the Club World Cup last-16 encounter this weekend.
Speaking to ItalPress, Hakimi said Messi should note that there are no friends on the football pitch.
The Morocco international said (via 101 Great Goals): “It would be nice to meet Messi again. There were many beautiful moments.
“We will see who we play against but then, on the pitch, there are no friends.
“He will try to win and we will also try to win. We will give everything to try to pass to the next round.”
