Football match between two clubs from Ghana,Brong Ahafo United and Bofoakwa Tano was full of superstition ,and referee of the day refused to touch the ball which was wrapped in the black polythene bag before a game because he believed it was juju.

The Referee agreed to start the game once the ball has been taken out of the black polythene bag. It was FA cup match between Brong Ahafo United and Bofoakwa  Tano in the Sunyani Coronation Park.

It was Brong Ahafo derby and both teams want to win and get the bragging right. But the match ended 0-0 with Bofoakwa Tano wining 5-4 on penalties.

This is not the first time superstition has come out of Ghana football. Ghana Premier League clash between Asante Kotoko and Aduana Stars have put superstition in local football, after both clubs start a game with ten players each. Apparently due to fears that the team which played the opening half with 11 men would lose. But Aduana stars won by 1 goal to 0 at Dorma.

However, it was not the match or the result that caught the attention of the public but an incident before the start of the game that grabbed all the headlines.
